🏨 November 4: The Hotel Hiring Event

The first evening is for the hotel side of the operation. Mystic Lake describes immediate openings in a variety of fields, and its own registration link is labeled for housekeeping and houseperson roles, so expect those conversations to lead. Housekeeping is physical work, and it is one of the quickest ways into a large employer.

The timing works for anyone finishing a first shift. If you would rather get an earlier start that same day, Hennepin County and CareerForce are running a morning career fair at the Brookdale library in Brooklyn Center from 10 a.m. to noon, covered in our Twin Cities drop-in hiring events guide. Different event, different side of the metro, different employers.

🍽️ November 18: Hiring for Red Orchid

Two weeks later, the same room hosts a hiring night for Red Orchid, which Mystic Lake calls its new upscale Asian restaurant. The casino has not published a role list, an opening date or a headcount for the restaurant, so we will not invent one. A new full-service dining room typically staffs both the front of house and the kitchen at once, so servers, hosts, bartenders, cooks and dishwashers with fine-dining or high-volume experience should come ready to talk about it.

🚪 Can't Make an Evening? Wednesday Walk-Ins

Mystic Lake also runs walk-in interviews every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the same Dakota Development Complex address, covering openings across Mystic Lake Casino Hotel and SMSC Enterprises. The page still routes you through a Register Now link, so sign up before you drive down Highway 169.

💵 What the Job Offers

Mystic Lake has not posted pay rates for either event, so read the range on each posting before you apply. What the employer does publish on its benefits page is weekly pay, medical and dental insurance, paid time off, a 401(k), discounted childcare, discounts at SMSC Enterprises and a team member transportation route. It also pays referral bonuses of up to $600 for bringing in new hires.

Mystic Lake Hiring Event FAQ

Do I need to register for the Mystic Lake hiring events?

Yes, plan on it. Each event, including the Wednesday walk-ins, has its own Register Now link on the Mystic Lake hiring events page.

Where exactly are the events held?

At the Dakota Development Complex, 2680 154th Street NW in Prior Lake, not at the casino entrance itself.

What jobs are open at Red Orchid?

Mystic Lake has not published a role list or an opening date for the restaurant. Come prepared to discuss both front-of-house and kitchen experience, and ask the recruiters directly.

Are these events free?

Mystic Lake has not listed an admission fee. If that matters to your plans, call Talent Acquisition at 952-496-6919 before you go.

What should I bring?

Printed resumes, a photo ID and the dates and supervisor names for your last few jobs. Dress as if you will interview that night, because hiring events often turn into interviews on the spot.
