Minneapolis Job Fair Nov. 16 at Embassy Suites Airport in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, MN — A Minneapolis job fair is coming to the airport hotel strip on Monday, November 16. Catalyst Career Group is filling a room at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Airport, on 34th Avenue South just off I-494, for a two-and-a-half-hour morning of face-to-face conversations with Twin Cities employers. Landing ten days before Thanksgiving, it is a useful stop for anyone who wants a new job lined up before the year turns.

One in-person morning, 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, in Bloomington. The organizer says every company in the room has open positions, but it will not name them until about 48 hours before the doors open.

📍 What This Bloomington Job Fair Is

This is a multi-employer hiring fair run by a private event company, not a county workforce event and not a single company's recruiting day. Catalyst Career Group's event page promises a chance to meet several Minneapolis-area employers in person and says all of the companies at its fairs have open positions to fill. The job seeker registration page lists the kinds of work its fairs typically cover: sales, customer service, health care, IT, engineering, accounting and hospitality.

Read that list as typical, not as a roster for this room. The organizer has not published which employers are coming to Bloomington or what they are hiring for. Its own instruction is to check back about 48 hours before the event, which puts the list around Saturday, November 14.

⚠️ Read This Before You Drive Out

  • The employer list is not out yet. If you are aiming at one specific field, check the event page that weekend before you spend a weekday morning on it.
  • Admission cost is not posted. Neither the event page nor the registration page states a price, so confirm when you register.
  • The window is short. Two and a half hours goes fast. Arrive near 10:00 rather than noon, when recruiters are fresh and lines are short.
  • Questions? Call the organizer at 815-308-5426.

📋 How to Show Up Ready

Bring more printed resumes than you think you need, one page each. Have dates and supervisor names for your last three jobs written down, because that is where applications stall at the table. Dress one notch above the job you want. If the list leans toward sales and customer service, servers, bartenders and retail associates who can hold a conversation have a real shot.

Driving is the simple option here. The hotel sits among the airport hotels along I-494, a few minutes from Mall of America.

🗓️ Other Twin Cities Hiring Events This Month

If November 16 does not work, or you want more than one shot this month, our fall Twin Cities job fair guide tracks the rest. Two are worth a look. The Brooklyn Center career fair at the Brookdale library on Wednesday, November 4, has a published roster that includes Boston Scientific, the U.S. Postal Service and the City of Minneapolis. Mystic Lake in Prior Lake runs evening hiring events on November 4 and November 18 for its hotel and its new Red Orchid restaurant. Different events, different days, different employers.
