10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Northwest Family Service Center, 7051 Brooklyn Blvd. #200, Brooklyn Center

The week opens on the north side, in the county service building just off Brooklyn Boulevard a few blocks north of Bass Lake Road. This is a general career fair rather than a single-employer pitch, which makes it the best first stop for anyone who is still figuring out which direction to aim. Two hours is a short window, so get there closer to ten than to noon. Bring printed resumes; the tables here move fast and nobody wants to squint at your phone.

Employment and Career Supports Job Fair — Tuesday, September 15

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | International Institute of Minnesota, 1694 Como Ave, St. Paul

The Institute sits on Como Avenue near the State Fairgrounds and has spent decades placing New American workers into Twin Cities jobs, particularly in health care, manufacturing and hospitality. If English is your second language, or if your credentials came from another country, this is the room where that is treated as an asset instead of a hurdle. Staff on site can talk through training pathways as well as open roles.

Randstad USA Employer of the Day — Tuesday, September 15

Worth being precise about this one: an Employer of the Day is a recruiting table, not a job fair. One company, one room, three hours. Randstad is a staffing firm, which means the conversation is less about a single opening and more about getting into a pipeline that feeds warehouse, light industrial, clerical and customer service placements across the metro. If you want to be working inside two weeks rather than two months, staffing is the fastest door in the building.

Roseville Area Schools Employer of the Day — Tuesday, September 15

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Roseville Library, 2180 Hamline Ave N, Roseville

School districts do most of their real hiring in the first six weeks of the term, once they know which classrooms are short-staffed. Roseville Area Schools is setting up at the Ramsey County library branch on Hamline just south of County Road B. Expect paraprofessional, nutrition services, custodial and bus driver conversations. These jobs follow the school calendar, which is the entire appeal for parents and the entire drawback for anyone who needs summer income.

Onsite Hiring Event — Wednesday, September 16

10:30 AM – 12:30 PM | Anoka County Job Training Center, 1201 89th Ave NE, Rooms 2403/2404, Blaine

Up in Blaine, just off Highway 65 near the Anoka County line, the Job Training Center runs a tight two-hour hiring event on the second floor. Anoka County's employment staff screen the employers they bring in, so the tables tend to be companies with real openings rather than resume collectors. Give yourself an extra ten minutes to find room 2403 once you are inside the building.

Washington County Career Fair — Wednesday, September 16

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Woodbury Central Park, Woodlands Room, 8595 Central Park Pl, Woodbury

The biggest east metro event of the month, and the one with the longest window. Woodbury Central Park sits just off Radio Drive south of Valley Creek Road, with parking that does not require a prayer. A county-run career fair in a suburb this size usually draws a mix of health care, retail, municipal and light manufacturing employers. If you can only make one event on this list and you live east of the river, make it this one.

Marsden Services Employer of the Day — Tuesday, September 22

Marsden is a St. Paul institution in the facilities business, cleaning and maintaining office towers, hospitals and industrial sites across the region. Janitorial and facilities work is one of the few fields in this metro where second and third shift pays a real premium and where a clean background and reliable transportation matter more than a diploma. Ask about the shift differential before you ask about anything else.

TSA Employer of the Day — Tuesday, September 29

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | CareerForce Saint Paul, 121 7th Place East, Suite 2300, St. Paul

The Transportation Security Administration closes out the month downtown. Federal screening work at MSP comes with a federal benefits package and a hiring process that is slower and more thorough than anything else on this list: a background investigation, a medical evaluation and a computer-based assessment all sit between the handshake and the badge. Come to this table to start the clock, not to get hired on the spot.

Two more events show up on the state's own listings for this stretch but did not clear the bar for a full entry above. The U.S. Postal Service has an automotive technician career fair listed for Wednesday, September 16 in Minneapolis, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, but no venue address is published on the listing. If you turn wrenches for a living, that one is worth a phone call to CareerForce at 651-259-7500 before you plan your day around it. Separately, a virtual training resource fair runs Wednesday, September 23 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, which is useful if you are weighing a certificate program but is not a hiring event.

💵 The Wage Line Runs Right Through This List

Here is the detail that surprises people who job hunt across the metro: the eight events above sit in five different wage jurisdictions, and the address where you actually perform the work decides your legal floor. Not where you live. Not where the company is headquartered.

Work performed inside Minneapolis carries a $16.37 per hour minimum as of January 1, 2026, and that rate applies to every employer in the city regardless of size. Work performed inside St. Paul also reaches $16.37 for macro, large and small employers, with a lower $14.25 floor for micro employers of five or fewer people.

Step outside those two city limits and the number drops hard. Brooklyn Center, Roseville, Blaine and Woodbury all sit at the Minnesota state minimum of $11.41 per hour. That is a gap of nearly five dollars an hour between a job on Seventh Place East and the same job twelve minutes up I-35W.

None of this means suburban work pays badly. In practice, competition for warehouse, health care support and facilities labor in this metro pushes real starting pay well above every one of these floors, and the legal minimum is a backstop rather than a going rate. But if two offers land in the same week, knowing which side of the line each worksite falls on is worth asking about out loud.
