Revival Returns Nov. 9 in Minneapolis' North Loop: What It Means for Restaurant Jobs

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Revival, the fried chicken spot that helped kick off the Twin Cities hot chicken craze before closing every location in January 2025, reopens in the North Loop on Monday, November 9, 2026. The new Revival takes over the former Borough space at 730 Washington Avenue North under Jester Concepts, and a full-service restaurant with seven-day lunch, dinner and weekend brunch hours is going to need a kitchen and a floor full of people.

One of the most talked-about restaurant openings in Minneapolis this fall is three weeks out. No headcount has been announced, so this is the moment to get your resume ready and watch for postings.

🏆 Who's Behind the Comeback

When Revival's original owners shut all four restaurants in early 2025, in Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, St. Paul and the Market at Malcolm Yards, roughly 100 people lost their jobs, according to FOX 9. Jester Concepts, the group behind Parlour, bought the Revival name, recipes and other intellectual property in July 2025 and spent more than a year looking for the right building.

It landed on one it already knew. Jester closed Borough this summer after a 13-year run on Washington Avenue and is converting that space into the new Revival. According to the official Revival site, the menu brings back the fried chicken and Southern comfort food that drew lines down the block, along with new dishes and a cocktail list.

💼 The Jobs a Restaurant Like This Needs

Neither Revival nor Jester Concepts has published a hiring number, a job fair date or a careers page for the new location, and none of the coverage we reviewed mentions whether former Revival or Borough staff are returning.

What the posted hours do tell you: the restaurant is open 74 hours a week, with weekday lunch, dinner every night and brunch from 10 a.m. on weekends. A full-service concept with a bar program typically staffs line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, servers, bartenders, hosts and shift leads. Fryer station or brunch floor experience lines up directly.

Have a one-page resume ready, check the Revival and Jester Concepts sites for postings, and if one appears, apply that day. Pre-opening crews usually fill before opening night.

💵 What a North Loop Address Means for Pay

The address where the work is performed decides the legal floor, and 730 Washington Avenue North is inside Minneapolis city limits. The City of Minneapolis set its minimum wage at $16.37 an hour on January 1, 2026, for every employer regardless of size. Minnesota also bars tip credits: the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry says employers may not count tips toward minimum wage, so servers and bartenders earn the full hourly rate before tips.

That floor is a backstop, not a going rate. Competition for experienced kitchen and bar staff across the metro tends to push real starting pay above the minimum, so ask about the hourly rate and tip pooling when you interview.
